I absolutely loved this book! This book follows the Greek god Apollo when he gets punished by his dad Zeus by getting turned into a mortal named Lester Papadopolous. He goes on a series of misadventures with Meg McCaffrey, a demigod. We also get to see some of our favorite Riordanverse characters like Percy and Leo!
It’s so funny, with a first person point of view, Lester's point of view, to be specific. All the characters are very likeable and they make you want them to succeed. The villains are written well, and they definitely make you dislike them, which is what a villain is supposed to do.
Each chapter is so captivating and personally, I didn’t want to put it down! Rick’s writing is so funny it makes me laugh, and the serious parts are written so well, and you can feel the gravity of whatever situation Lester and his friends are in. However, it’s never too scary or depressing, which is always nice. I loved the end, and it really makes you want to read the next book, The Dark Prophecy. Honestly, there was nothing I disliked about the book. I loved it. It‘s great for anyone who wants to keep reading about the world of Percy Jackson. It falls after the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series. So if you love those, you’ll love this book.
