Hey! It's been awhile! I haven't posted aa review and honestly I forgot about this book for a bit! But it's an ARC and I guess I should eventually post about it. So I ended up DNFing this book. I probably didn't give it much of a chance, and I did start it when I was in a bit of a reading slump, but honestly I don't think not being in a reading slump would've helped it for me. (Some Spoilers for the beginning of the book) It starts out with the main character as a pr*stitute, and I was very confused on what book I decided to start reading. I don't read spice, I'm not into it at all. I've looked into reading some popular books and finding out they had spice, and it's just not my thing. I have no judgments at all to people who do read spice, but it's not for me.

Also not a really big thing, but the author is a grown man, a father, an uncle, etc. I have no problem with a man writing romance, I think it's cool that he breaks stereotypes. I also think he was super nice when we corresponded long ago. However, I feel weird thinking about him just writing some of these things in the book.

The main character is actually an assassin, not what we see in the first chapter, but I just didn't like the opening, meaning I did not feel like continuing.

This book might be your cup of Tea, but not mine!
